IEA Bargaining Conference 2020

The IEA Bargaining Workgroup is excited to announce that we are hosting another Bargaining Conference. The conference will be presented by you, the members, with the IEA staff there to assist. In the past, thanks to your financial support and promotion, we had over 120 members attend the Bargaining Conference and this year we expect that many or more. This year, we have a great line up of new topics that will be presented by members and leaders this year.

Retirement Planning for New Teachers – “Tier II” TRS Explained – Explaining the differences for retirement and ideas for contract issues.
Putting Your Evaluation Plan into Your Contract – Why do you need your evaluation tool in your contract? What parts are the most important to get in your contact if you don’t put it all in there? What evaluation protections should your bargain for your ESP members?
Legal Updates – New legislation will change how you and your members handle DCFS, Social Media, and a host of other issues. Here’s what you need to be aware of.
Insurance Issues – Money, Money, Money – How to bargain better insurance or lower insurance costs at the table.
